As subject.

As I type in game i don't see wath I'm typing in the lower left corner of the screen (the text that usually appears before you press enter to speack).

None of them work.

I tink I found out the problem.
I don't how and why but injection seems to change the "Speech Color" and "Emote color" values from options to black. This also cause me to crash.

check if the uo client is using the profile in the:

desktop\your shard name\your char name\

folder

if you change all your client settings withouth injection and when you load injection the settings have been changed again, then there's an error

Here's what I do (I play on RunUO shard).

Install Uo.
Make autopatch to client 4.0.4b (I don't want 4.0.5 SE crap)
Log in with normal client (4.0.4b) using Razor.
Log out.
Check for the desktop folder (and it does exist).
Put client 4.0.0c in uo dir.
Launch inj with client 4.0.0c

At this point there is no color for speech and emote.

So what am I doing wrong?

After many tries I seem to have solved this.

I patched to 4.0.3e and then stopped.
The problem seems to happen only with client > 4.0.4

Would like to know if someone is able to reproduce this bug so maybe it can be fixed.

i got the same problem but its worst than that

with 4.0.6a patch, if i use injection (with 4.0.0c ) then i dont see what im typing and cant execute any client any more (included 4.0.0c without injection launcher), but only if i previously use injection.

My shards always require the latest client version. With injection is easy solved by changing the version option. but if i want to use razor or easyUO i must patch and injection appears to hung the new clients

what can i do???

and althought there said: "Injection does not support clients newer then 4.0.0c" i was using injection with client 4.0.0c and razor with client 4.0.3a without any problem but with patch 4.0.6a it crashed

it seems that client 4.0.6a makes desktop files that enter in conclict with 4.0.0c
i havent got any idea to solve this, only to make 2 uo instalations. 1 with injection and 1 without it.
if anyone know how to fix it plz pos it

Yes, the problem is in the desktop settings.

I got two solution for this.

1) When you type text and you don't see it go to the option dialog (Alt + O) and set a new color for speeche and for emote. I know this is a pain, but it only takes few seconds and in most of the cases this avoid you new crashes!

2) If with solution 1 you keep crashing, go to your uo folder and delete the "Desktop" sub-folder. Because I don't like to register the macros every time I do this operation I've a backup copy of the folder on my desktop so I can copy it back.

Those are definitive solutions, but I think they're better than nothing.

I'm having the same problem with client 2.0.0 using encryption for a server to 1.24.6a

My "party message color" changes to black and i'm crashing a lot.
