Possible to decrypt/re-encrypt with older key?

I have kind of a curious question i can't really get an answer on.
Again, still on a sphere 51a shard. We don't have a copy of the source, and we can't find one anywhere, i assume they're all gone. If anyone has one it'd make this easy.

Anyway, is anyone familiar with how the sphere encryption handling works, and would it be possible to change the encryption keys on a higher client, say, 3.0 or 4.x, to the 1.24.6b keys, and would that work with sphere 51a?

If so does anyone have pointers/hex IDs of where or how the encryption keys are stored?

I know this is an injection forum, but i'm wondering if there is a way to do this for clients without injection. The reason i ask this is we have a patcher system to block injection use except for players who are trustworthy, that way they do not use any of the abusive variants such as PGDE.

No one knows where the encryption keys are stored/how?

All i need is a starting point, i can try to go from there.
